March 2007

The Ben Massell Clinic and DenTeC announce plans to collaborate on a new, state-of –the art facility on 14th Street in Atlanta. The new clinic will offer innovative technologies designed to increase quality of care and streamline dental care. The facility is slated to open in October 2007.

February 2006

DenTeC will offer its first certificate program in Dental Practice Management. The program slated to begin in October of 2006 will offer 5 two-day training programs over the following six months covering. Students will learn personnel management, internal and external marketing strategies, how to manage by the numbers, and a myriad of dental practice management systems. November 2005

The American College of Prothodontists Department of Continuing Education and DenTeC@Georgia Tech entered into a joint agreement to offer a first ever Implant Conference. The inaugural event entitled A to Z Implant Conference 2007 (insert DLPE link) will offer concurrent sessions designed for general dentists, specialists and lab technicians. The 3-day program will also include sessions for the assistants, business staff and hygienists.

October 2005

The Georgia Tech Pre-Dental Society announced its 1st Annual Golf Fund Raising Tournament. The event is scheduled on Saturday, May 13, 2005 at the Ridges of Mountain Harbor Country Club in Hayesville, North Carolina. Students plan to organize and manage the event. A portion of the proceeds will go to dental clinics in the Atlanta area. May 2005

The Office of the Deputy Director, Georgia Tech Research Institute, shows its commitment to the Dental Technology Center at Georgia Tech by registering to exhibit at the 2006 Hinman Dental Convention. The convention, the largest in the southeast, draws well over 10,000 dental professionals each year. The DenTeC faculty and Georgia Tech Pre-Dental Students will be on hand to promote the research and education activities.

January 2005

DenTeC@Georgia Tech receives ADA CERP recognition for DenTeC courses. Dental professionals will now be able to attend the science-based programs while working towards their annual and bi-annual CEU requirements. Georgia Tech offers continuing education credits in addition to the ADA credits. DenTeC plans to have CEU available for its distance learning courses by 2007.
